At Boost VC we accelerate the Sci-Fi future! And through that lens we spend a lot of time thinking about where the most dynamic humans are solving the most important problems.
One category we have been spending a lot of time in is healthcare, but not just any healthcare - Direct to Consumer Healthcare. We believe this is a crucial part of the Sci-Fi future.
The way that Bitcoin made everyone a banker… the latest emerging technologies will make everyone a doctor.
For example, everyone is at home taking at home Covid tests, tracking their heartbeat with IoT trackers (Apple Watch, Whoop, Fitbit), what does this look like when that habit is compounded over the next 10 years?
This brings me to our request for startups:
Direct to consumer blood lab diagnostics
At home devices to withdraw your blood
At home treatment and therapies
At home monitors for Glucose, blood, brain, urine and fitness
Tools for your own health at home
New ways of identifying disease/chronic illness at home
Vertical networks to connect based on chronic illness
HealthcareDAO
Direct to Consumer insurance based on IoT monitors
Also all of these concepts from different countries - healthcare regulation is a moat from country to country
